Its finally comming to an end.
I can't wait to graduate high school. I'm excited to get out of U-E. I have been in this district for my entire life, and I am ready to move on. I am also tired of all the drama and shit that the underclassmen say. It will be so much more relaxed in college. I won't have to have a strict schedule of 8:30-3:10 and I won't have to take as many classes. I can also walk around more freely without teachers asking "where are you going?" or "do you have a pass?" I can't wait to be able to excape all of the bullshit "rules and regulations" of high school.
One thing I will miss will be snowdays. It is pretty nice to get random days off every once in a while. But in college, that will get made up for by Winter and Spring vacations. Having a month off will be pretty sweet. Also, in college school only goes until May.

Work tonight
Well, work tonight sucked.
Jeff, the worst manager to work with, was the manager all night.
Also, it was constantly busy from the time I got to work until the time I left. At 8:00 when we closed, we were extremely backed up. We had two express lanes open and two regular checkouts. We didn't pull our drawers until about 8:15. There are these old people that come in at exactly 8 every Sunday night. We managed to get the door on one way before they arrived, but they waited for someone to leave and broke in the store. Our manager was PISSED!!!!
One good thing though, my drawer balanced even.

Today
Today was rather boring. I had zero period gym, then I went up to Mr. Phinney's room like always until first period.
I made it through all of my classes, with only Economics homework. I also made up my Personal Finance test and my Forensics test. Both were pretty easy. I went to Tony's pizza with Eric Corwin, and then went to my afternoon classes. After school, I drove my neighbor, Anna, home.
When I got home, I worked on my Economics homework and went on the computer for a bit. I then ate dinner, and watched tv. I went to the Giant, and got my paycheck. I then went to the bank and deposited my check. I took out my $20.00 for vacation. I am now up to $120.00 for the trip.
I am going to talk to my girlfriend now, and then get to bed. I have to get up at 5:45 tomorrow morning because I have a gym class to make up.

NYS Police Ride Along
Yesterday I was talking to my neighbor who is a State Police officer at Binghamton University. He asked what I wanted to do as a career, and I told him I want to work for the United States Federal Government, more than likely in the Law Enforcement field.
Well anyways, long story short, he asked if I was interested in doing a ride along during his shift one night. So in the near future, I might have the opportunity to ride along with the NYS University Police to see what actually happens on a daily basis as a police officer. He asked waht time I got out of work on Friday and I said 10 pm. He said if I want, I could come over to BU after my shift and come along during his shift.
This would be pretty fun. I'd get to ride along with the cops and go bust college parties. This could be interesting!!!!
Graduation
Well, as we all know, June is right around the corner.
I thought I would take this moment to look back on a few of the major things that have happened in the four years at UEHS.
1. First day of school as freshmen at UEHS.
This was in September 2004. A completely different feel from middle school.
2. Free Spence.
A protest that was rather unnecessary, but still made it into the paper. As freshmen, we didn't know what all of this was about, and some of us left school for the day to protest.
3. Mr. Salati leaves and Mrs. Seletto becomes the new principal.
4. Pep Rallies. This was completely new to us as freshmen.
5. Susquehana river floods and ruins the football field. This happened I believe 3 times while being a student of UEHS.
6. September 5th, 2007 - We become SENIORS!!!!!!!
.......................................................................................................................................................................
Projected to the future.....
7. May 17, 2008 - Prom
8. June 28, 2008 - We graduate from UEHS
I know there are more things, but I don't remember much between the Sophomore and Junior years. If you have other events you would like to see added, comment this post.
Also, what colleges do you have in mind or are you going to?
I am going to BCC for Business Administration. Then I plan on transferring to a 4 year school. I am looking into Penn State.

The joys of working in a supermarket.
Well, first off I'd like to say getting out early is always nice!
So even with school off, I still had to work. 5-9. It was ABSOLUTELY DEAD!!!!!!!
I had a point when I didn't have a customer for about 1/2 hour. I basically just stood around and talked, and visited Becca. I did have one guy who was an IDIOT come through my line tonight. I checked him out and he payed using a bank card. He ran it through as a credit, signed the slip, the whole thing all the way up to the point when I gave him his recepit was fine. He was like " wait, I wanted money back" and I said "sorry, you would have had to run your card as a debit." He got all pissed off and was like " well can u change it to debit, I want money back." I'm like "Its too late, once the transaction was processed, it already took the amount from your account and it cannot be undone." So then he keeps ranting on and was like "I know it can be done, you just don't know what your doing." I know for a fact after working at the store for over a year that once the sale is ran as a credit or as a debit, it CANNOT be changed. I even told him we have an ATM, and he just walked out of the store. Some people are just IDIOTS!!!!!!!!

Blog about a Blog
Ok so I was looking around for a blog and I stumbled upon this "blog of interest" under the August 2007 section.
It is a blog on how to do stuff. Its similar to those shirts that mock police officers with the cartoons.
Here is the link: http://www.basicinstructions.net/

Last day of break
Well, today was the last day of the nice February break.
Tomorrow, its back to school and having to actually do stuff.
Today was a rather boring day. I got up at 10, got a shower, then had my Scoutmaster Conference for my Eagle Scout rank. I then worked from 3-8. Today's shift was rather difficult for me. I went to work with a bad migrane which has been bothering me since about 2:30 yesterday. It seems as if it has worsened today. It is in the back part of my head and it feels as if someone was shoving a knife into my skull.
I managed to make it through work. I then watched TV, and put my clothes away.
Hopefully, tomorrow will be a better day. I have a good feeling that this week is not going to be a good one. I have about 5 tests to make up because of my cold from before break, and I am not ging to be able to see Becca at all next weekend. We both work 5-10 Friday night, and then she works from 2-11 Saturday.

Vacation this summer

Well this summer between the weeks of August 9-16th, I am going to Sandbridge, Virginia. It is a small development about 10 miles south of Virginia Beach.
We already made reservations and rented a house called Solar Pleasure. It is a 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom beachhouse. Currently, my neighbors and my family are definately going. I am in the process of getting my girlfriend's parents to let her go also. All in all there will be around 12-14 people going.
I have been saving my money already, and will continue to do so. I am taking out $20.00 a week for the trip. Tomorrow will be $100.00 since I've started.
I'm excited to go. I haven't been to the beach since I went to Myrtle Beach in 2005.
Here are some pics of the house:

My Dream Job
For the longest time, I have wanted to work for the United States Central Intelligence Agency.
I was turned on to this from watching the TV show "24". I love what they do in the show, and I think it would be intersting and fun to have a job of that nature.
I personally wouldn't want to do what Jack does....shooting people and such, but I would like to be the one tracking down the criminals with the satellites.
Maybe perhaps an interrorgator, or set up field-op teams. That would be my dream job.
My Day
Well, today was quite uneventful.
I woke up at around 10, then played around on the computer for awhile.....Facebook, Myspace, AIM.
I then had waffels for breakfast, and then got a shower. After that, my mom came home and I went to deposit my paycheck and get gas.
I did notice something rather interesting. When i recorded my balance in my checkbook, my statement said I had $2.91 more than I really had. I checked into the problem, and I found out that Hallmark never took out the money for my girlfriend's Valentines Day card. it was charged to a Mastercard account. After checking through my mom's cards, none were a match with the last four digits. So, I basically got a free card.
At 5 I went to work. It was pretty slow tonight and when I balanced at the end of the night I only had $435.35 in my drawer. I was even though so thats a plus.
Now I'm home and getting ready for bed. My girlfriend gets out of work at 10, so I'm just waiting for her to get out. tomorrow I NEED to call BCC to change my major. I want to change it to Business Administration instead of Criminal Justice. I've heard from my neighbor who is an FBI agent that Criminal Justice is not a good major for what I want to do.

Getting better...or am I?
Well today I managed to make it through work...thank God.
I woke up at about 11 and ate breakfast. After that, I layed down with my mom for a bit and we both rested. She is just starting to get the cold I am getting over.
I worked from 3-8 tonight. No problems.
When I got home, I got a severe migrane headache. I had one yesterday also, and ended up leaving work an hour early. A few weeks ago, I was diagnosed with migranes, and the doctor gave me this medication called Imitrex. That stuff is amazing. It can take away even the worst of headaches in about 15 minutes.
So now I'm talking to my girlfriend on AIM, and just relaxing. Hopefully I feel better tomorrow.

What I did today
Well, first off, in my last post I told you that I was getting a cold.
Here's an update.....
Yesterday I woke up and had a sore throat and stuffy nose. I decided that I should not go to school. Its good that I didn't because later on, I had a fever that eventually maxed out at 100.8. It has been on and off, and usually is worse when I wake up and get ready to go to bed. I enjoyed last night because Becca came over, and we had dinner and watched TV together downstairs. It was nice to just be able to see her again. I told her if I had a fever it probably wouldn't be a good idea to come over, but she refused and came over anyways.
Last night was pretty rough. I had a fever all night, and kept rolling around because I had a stuffy nose.
This morning, I woke up with a 99.2 fever and one again missed school. I got up at 7 and pulled myself together so I could go to school and get my work for the break. After I returned home (about 8:45), I went on the computer a bit and then slept from 10:30-3:30. I then layed on the couch and watched tv. I called in sick to work, and I'm glad I did. If I went, I'd still be there for another 45 minutes.
I hope I am ok for tomorrow. Every day I seem to get a little better. I have to work 1-6 tomorrow, so this should be interesting.
I'm going to get some rest now. I'll keep you updated on how I am.

Snowday
As you all know, it was a nice thing to wake up and look at the TV this morning. Union-Endicott : closed.
I am really happy that we had this snowday. First off, I like having days off, and also I am currently fighting off a cold. With this day off, I can lay down and rest all day. This is especially great due to the fact that I was lifing pallets and stocking shelves last night at work. Each bundle of paper bags is 65 pounds, and I lifted about 25 of these.
I checked out the new CVS on Hooper Road last night after work and got that stuff called Airborne. I was talking to a teacher about it last week, and she said it works if you take it early enough. It suprised me that the vitamin C in it is 1,667% of the normal daily value. Its like vitamin C pills on steriods.
Well, I'm gonna go clean off my driveway and put my car in the garage before one of those plows demolishes it.

Education
Ok....
Here's my theory on education.
Personally, I believe that education is a must. If we want to compete with the world, we need to be smart. I wish that we learned what we "actually" need to learn. Take math for instance. After the test, when are you ever gonna need to know how to prove triangle ABC congruent to triangle DEF. I would prefer to learn math in a more hands on way. Perhaps with money. As a cashier at the Giant, I see alot of my fellow employees dependant with the calculators on the register, and if someone gives them change after the drawer opens up, they freak out.
In summary, Education is good to have, but we should learn what we actually use in life.
